The MD/CEO of Afriland Properties Plc, Uzo Oshogwe, has attributed the Real Estate company’s successes in the Real Estate sector to its array of service offerings, an emphasis on professionalism and a creative approach to solving problems.
She made this declaration at the second edition of Advocacy Day, a programme organized by the Nigerian Chapter of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA), to discuss “Effective and Sustainable Management of Public Infrastructure”. Mrs. Oshogwe, who was represented by Head, Facility Management and Special Projects, Eneni Halim, lauded the organisation’s efforts in the Real Estate Sector.
She said, “At Afriland, we are a one-stop shop that provides Property Management, Project Management, Real Estate Development, Investment and Facility Management services. Through design, acquisition, construction and facility management, we are involved from end to end. For us, it is about adding value throughout the entire value chain to bring our ideas to life. Recommendations from relevant professionals in the building industry are engrained in our processes to provide creative solutions to any challenges we might encounter.
The event which featured a keynote address from Federal Minister for Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola, had in attendance, notable stakeholders in the Real Estate Industry. Addressing the theme of the event, Eneni Halim referenced Afriland Towers, as an example of purpose-driven investment in Real Estate that was intentionally reconstructed with maintenance in mind.
She stated, Afriland towers is one of the most functional buildings in Lagos Island. It is a simple building that looks good because of proper maintenance. During the design stage, professional advice from facility managers was adopted and what you have now is a building whose maintenance is not expensive and complex because the materials used are easy to maintain and are durable.” Speaking further, she pointed out that the same principle was applied during the construction of the Ultra-Modern Heirs Towers in Victoria Island.
It will be recalled that in February 2020, Afriland Properties PLC, completed the remarkable renovation of the moribund Raymond House on Broad Street, Lagos with the commissioning of Afriland Towers by the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and renowned philanthropist and Group Chairman of Heirs Holdings Group, Tony Elumelu.
The Heirs Towers on Ajose Adeogun, Victoria Island, Lagos, was equally commissioned on 1st July 2021, by the aforementioned duo and the edifice has been receiving recognition and rave reviews across Africa for its splendor.
